I'm a writer with a penchant for design. And while I hate to sound like one of those gastronomic snobs, I love a good craft cocktail. These combined passions inspired a drinking buddy and me to invent, mix and style our own drinks. It's led to a lot of taste testing and, unsurprisingly, a lot of tipsy Sunday afternoons. 

  Bobbing for Apples   1.5 oz Bulleit Bourbon 1.5 oz apple juice ¼ oz simple syrup ¼ oz fresh lemon juice 1 pinch of cinnamon 3 tiny apples to garnish

Bobbing for Apples

1.5 oz Bulleit Bourbon

  The Gingingerberry   10 blueberries and 1 tbsp thinly sliced ginger root for muddling  2 oz gin   1 oz freshly-squeezed lemon juice   ¾ oz ginger simple syrup  Splash of tonic Chamomile garnish
